A winter road trip is def not for everyone… If you like warmth, the feeling of your toes, and food that doesn’t come from a can then this may not be for you… but, if you can handle the cold, it’s almost as if you’re rewarded with this unique one-on-one experience inside these majestic landscapes. It’s the juxtaposition of these 3,000 foot cliffs and rushing waterfalls against the quiet solitude of your footsteps crunching across the frozen snow. And you stop, and take it all in, it’s quiet and peaceful, and for those few moments everything is exactly as it should be. The perfect solitude (100% my book title for these adventures). Then you realize you stepped in water and your boot is frozen to your sock and it’s time to go. #Yosemite

Going to Monterey and not playing golf was tough. I called Pebble Beach just to ask… it was $500. I paid $50 for the aquarium instead and brought my 9 iron. Lots of water hazards.

Exploring The Redwoods was a blend of prehistoric vibes, Disney vibes, and all things jungle. It was one of the most stunning places to walk through and explore. Everything is massive and covered in moss and damp and green and beautiful. Really really beautiful.
